Many people believe that in southern Chile there is an island inhabited by blond extraterrestrials. This story has been circulating in Chilean ufology since the 1980s, but only in 1998 did it generate wide publicity. The flimsy basis of the story rests on a false UFO case and it has now developed into a pseudo-religion, with its adherents permanently in contact with “angelic entities”.
